Gigantor 's Clash From The Past (Album Launching Party)
In October 2010, one of my favorite thrash metal band from Jakarta, Gigantor made their album launching party, that was called 'Clash From The Past' at MU Cafe, Sarinah, Jakarta.
Well, Gigantor is founded in 2006 and consists of Rizky Syahputra (vocal), Dipo Rangga Wishnu (guitars), Barata Dwiputra (bass), and Irfan Siregar (drums) and managed by Anisa Agustin.
Actually their first album, Gigantor had released a month before this event, before the Lebaran Day. This album consists of 10 songs plus one hidden track that will kick your ass! can you imagine that? it's all about metal here.
This album got some positive reviews from local media and the scene, even it had got 'sold out' position at one of the local record store, Aquarius (at Mahakam).
For me, this is a good album, not only the materials in it but also the record quality itself. By releasing the album, this band signs its existence in this music scene, particulary in the metal scene and generally in Indonesia music scene.
This event featured several local rock/metal/punk band from Jakarta and Bandung, they are Lucretia, Suri, Inlander, Rajasinga, Oracle, and Siksakubur and featured the special guest, Arian Arifin a.k.a Arian13, a vocalist from Jakarta rock band, Seringai. He was there but he didn't sing as a usual, he became the DJ for this event and played rock song to fill the time when the band did the e preparation of their equipment. This event was helped by The Blackhole.
This event was started about at 8.30 pm. and opened by the performance of Lucretia, a thrash metal band. They played several their own songs and a cover song, according to their guitar player, Nino Aditya, Lucretia intended to delete their Megadeth image by playing their own original songs. This band played well. After Lucretia finishing their performance, a stoner rock band from Jakarta that had just released their Ep, Suri played on the stage. They played great at that night with their own songs. Unfortunately I didn't get their photos because of coming late to the venue.
After suri's show, a punk rock band, Inlander hit the stage with their songs and a cover song from Billy Idol. they played well, especially their vocalist, Bani sang attractively. They gave their 'demo' albums to the audiences. The show continued with the performance of Rajasinga, they played their several songs, and they played with Doddy Hamson, a vocalist from Komunal. After that another thrash metal band from Jakarta, Oracle came into the stage without their vocalist, Troy Adam. They started their performance with the cover song from Powermad, and sung by 686's vocalist, Tunggal Siahaan. Then their performance was assisted by Andre Tiranda (guitarist of Siksakubur), Nino Aditya (guitarist of Lucretia), and Andi Jaka (bass player from Supersucks). Unfortunately this band played all cover songs well, eventhough it has several albums. Then the show continued with the performance of a death metal band, Siksakubur. They played well, especially their guitar player, Andre Tiranda played very well but their sound was not good when they played on the stage.
Finally the main act, Gigantor hit the stage with their songs from their album, Gigantor. They played well and confidently in front of the metalheads there. About more than one hour was spent for their perfomance. At the end of their performance, Radit, a guitar player of Inlander jammed with this band played Motorhead's song, Iron Fist.
Then the show finished at 1 am, and we satisfied with the show, especially Gigantor who launched their album at that night. HAIL GIGANTOR!
Finally here are the photos that were taken by me, by using Nikon D40X camera, Nikkor 18-55 mm lens and the assistance of the stage lighting, actually the lighting wasn't good. Then I edited by using photoshop CS3. Please take a look here

EXODUS Live In Jakarta
Well, I was so glad when one the best Bay Area thrash metal band, Exodus would play in Jakarta and I intended to take their photos at their concert.
Exodus is one of thrash metal band from Bay Area, US. This band was founded by Paul Baloff and Kirk Hammet (now in Metallica), before he joined Metallica, replacing Dave Mustaine. Now this band consists of Rob Dukes (vocal), Gary Holt (guitars), Lee Altus (guitars), Jack Gibson (bass), and Tom Hunting (drums).
The show was held on September at Senayan, Jakarta and promoted by Pentia Quantum. The show was opened by 2 local metal band, they were Down For Life, a metalcore band from Solo and Oracle, a thrash metal band from Jakarta. For me, I prefer another local thrash metal band from Jakarta, Gigantor to Down For Life, to open this show with Oracle, because both of them play same genre with Exodus, Thash Metal.
This concert was started at 8 pm and opened by Down For Life and Oracle. Then it was at 9 pm after Oracle finishing their show, the Exodus' crew prepared the equipment but the audience grumble for the so long preparation by yelling them while they were on stage. Finally Exodus' personnel came to the stage and played the first song, called The Ballad of Leonard and Charles, from their new album, Exhibit B: The Human Condition. Then continued to the songs until the 'Toxic Waltz' before they did the encore. At That night, they played very well and so powerful. There were moshers who did the mosh march.
I took these photos by using Nikon D40X camera, Nikkor 18-55 mm lens and the help of stage lighting then I edited at the Adobe Photoshop.
Actually there was a problem between the concert guard and me because of not using the press ID eventhough I was admitted by the one of the official of Pentia Quantum but it was finished there and I could take the these photo. Many thanks to Pentia Quantum and Mr.Omen that had given me the permission to documented this concert.

Last but least, this is the mosh circle, it was my lucky, I got this moment!!! It was so hard because the stage lighting almost never lighted the audience, suddenly when Rob asked the audience to do the mosh circle, it lighted to the audience, and I take it quickly. lucky me ;p

Oracle Live at Exodus' concert in Jakarta
Oracle is one of Thrash Metal band from Jakarta. It consists of Troy Adam (vocal), Wisnu Made (guitars), Jimmy (guitars), Bayu Gondokusumo (bass), Khalif Mahendra (drums).
I took these photos when they opened for Exodus concert in Jakarta on September, actually Exodus was opened by two bands, Oracle and a metalcore band, Down For Life, but I missed this band, because of coming late to the venue, but i didn't miss this band, Oracle. This band suits with Exodus because both of them play thrash metal.
Well, Oracle played on the stage at about 8.30 pm after Down For Life finished their performance. Oracle played several songs at that night include a cover version song from Testament, Over The Wall. They played well, especially their vocalist, Troy Adam, he sang attractively. He jumped into the audience and did the crowd surfing then he backed to the stage. They had successfully made the crowd becoming mad before the main show, Exodus.
I took these photos with the Nikon D40X camera and Nikkor 18-55 mm lens, with the assistance of the stage lighting. Then I edited by using the Adobe Photoshop CS3
So here they are...
